If you live along the south shore of Lake Superior, you know what trees here go through. Heavy snow loads. Sudden wind off the lake. Ice that lingers into spring. Over time, even healthy trees become a problem — and we’ve been handling those problems since 1988.

Quality Tree Service is built for the jobs that require more than a pickup truck and a chainsaw. A leaning tree near a structure, a lot that needs full clearing before a build, a driveway that has to hold up through a northern Wisconsin winter — Mark’s crew handles all of it.
We show up with the right equipment. Mark’s crew handles everything from careful removals in tight residential yards to high-volume lot clearing on rural acreage. We run crane service for complex removals, heavy equipment for grading and road building, and gravel work for driveways that need to last.
We don’t cut corners because we work in the same communities where our customers live. When the job is done, we leave the site clean.
Most people don’t plan on needing tree work. They call us when something doesn’t feel right anymore, or when a project reaches a point where experience matters.
We’re called when a tree is leaning toward a structure and needs crane-assisted removal. When a storm drops trees across a driveway and access needs clearing fast. When builders need a lot fully cleared, graded, and road-prepped before construction. When overgrown acreage needs heavy equipment, not just a chainsaw.
Some calls are urgent. Others are planned months out. Either way, we help you figure out the safest, most practical next step.

Northern Wisconsin storms don’t give much warning. A line of wind off Lake Superior, a heavy wet snow in October, an ice storm that settles in overnight. Trees come down fast across Cable, Hayward, Iron River, Winter, and Radisson.
When a tree comes down on a structure, blocks a driveway, or drops over a power line, we have the crew and the equipment to handle it the same day. We’ve been responding to storm calls in this area since 1988.
Tree on your structure, blocking your driveway, or down over a line? We’re responding now.
People call us for different reasons. Some need a tree down before the weekend. Others are breaking ground on a new build and need a full lot cleared and graded. Most just want someone they can trust to show up, do the job right, and not leave a mess behind.
We’ve been in business since 1988 — longer than most tree services in northern Wisconsin have existed. Mark Hazelquist runs every job with a crew that brings a combined 85 years of hands-on experience. We carry crane service and heavy equipment that lets us handle projects most local outfits have to turn down.
Tree removal is one of the most common calls we get — and one of the easiest places for things to go wrong without experience. We take time upfront to assess the tree, the surrounding space, and potential risks. For complex removals close to homes, driveways, and outbuildings, we bring in crane service to keep everything controlled.
We handle residential and commercial tree removal using techniques that reduce impact to nearby buildings, driveways, and landscaping. When the job is done, we haul everything out and leave the site clean.
Learn About Tree RemovalOld stumps tend to get ignored — until they’re in the way, attracting pests, or making mowing a headache.
Our stump grinding service removes stumps below ground level so you can move on with your plans, whether that’s reseeding, building, or just reclaiming your yard. Once the stump is gone, we clean up and leave the area ready for whatever comes next.
